Exciting : okie today i brought a friend along to church, YIXIAN ! amazingly, she liked the atmosphere and she even thanked me for bringing her to church :) and here i THANK GOD for the atmosphere, and even thank Him for the comfort he brought to the newcomers. AND, the friend i brought along last week came to Church THIS WEEK ! yes at first i thought that she'll be affected by her friends who didn't believe in God, BUT i really thank God for strengthening her and even for standing strong to her stand ! not caring about what others feel, its the inner hunger that God has given and blessed her and i thank God for this. i pray that she'll even GROW, and even become more HUNGRY for God. and even to become stable and come chruch regularly !

Thrilling : yes and im sure most of you know why !!! xD its about today's sharing yeah. ade suddenly called me at 12:30 to tell me that sister wanping wants to see me once i reached church. and ade gave me a fright ! she asked : " eh, what did u do this time ah ? " it sounded as if i did something wrong ! xD and i didn't so i was quite surprised . and it was when i met sister wanping that i found out the truth that i'll be sharing my testimony in today's service. OKIE at first i was VERY tensed YET thrilled, i didn't know what to say. BUt i thought, HEY that isn't so hard what !!! cos its like speaking from my heart between what God has done to my life and me ! so i was EASY i thought. its the FEAR of speaking in front of so many people ! haha but it was quite okie, i prayed and indeed i was calm enough to speak in front of everyone. tho i missed out some points....

why? cos im gonna TELL TELL TELL !

haha its not much actually, but it means alot to me yeah so...here goes :
- okie, at first when i started to come church, mom didn't really approve of me going to church. she was afraid of losing a son. and thought that i wont respect her when i had God in my life. yes BUT thanks to everyone who prayed really hard for me !!! for it was one of the hardest times of my walk. i had to choose between God and Mom. yes, but i chose God. and guess what, he blessed me ! Mom started to approve of me going to church !

she even encourages me to go now ! and even she fetches me home almost every saturday night ! just to make sure that it'll be home on time !!! ( ive got probation if u didn't know, its at 9pm ) THANKS MOM ! & DAD the driver of course. :D

its amazing and now im trying to get her to come for our adult services !!! EVERYONE PARY FOR HER OK !!! im sure, that even when i start to receive God into my life, i will start to see family members coming to christ !!! i am even trying to get DAD , KEVIN to come ! so everyone , PRAY ! and im sure, in no time once their salvation is redeemed, we'll even see RELATIVES, FRIENDS or even AQUAINTAINCES or people at their WORKPLACES even start to see CHANGE and come to the house of the Lord ! all we have do to is to believe and have faith ! we're accountable for the salvation of people around us !

so, why are we holding on to this Good news? SPREAD IT ! SHARE IT ! EMBRACE IT ! how can we just stand here looking at souls walking into hell one by one , yet we're sitting here comfortably doing nothing to help? I URGE EVERYONE, to even SHARE ! build the kingdom of God ! we want to see his kingdom GROW , EXPAND and REIGN !

THE POWER TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE
- if you dont want to see change in your life, it is a great tragedy.
- 10 out of 15 bestsellers are self aid books, but changes brought by these DONT LAST !!! the power to change dont come from these, they must come from the heart :D

Phillipians 3:10 -
I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death.

Ephesians 1:19-20
I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms.

you know what? this very power that raised Christ from the dead is made avaliable for us !!!

4 steps to see change :

EVENT : Jacob wrestles with God
Genesis 32:24-30

22 During the night Jacob got up and took his two wives, his two servant wives, and his eleven sons and crossed the Jabbok River with them. 23 After taking them to the other side, he sent over all his possessions.

24 This left Jacob all alone in the camp, and a man came and wrestled with him until the dawn began to break. 25 When the man saw that he would not win the match, he touched Jacob’s hip and wrenched it out of its socket. 26 Then the man said, “Let me go, for the dawn is breaking!”

But Jacob said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”

27 “What is your name?” the man asked.

He replied, “Jacob.”

28 “Your name will no longer be Jacob,” the man told him. “From now on you will be called Israel,[c] because you have fought with God and with men and have won.”

29 “Please tell me your name,” Jacob said.

“Why do you want to know my name?” the man replied. Then he blessed Jacob there.

30 Jacob named the place Peniel (which means “face of God”), for he said, “I have seen God face to face, yet my life has been spared.” 31 The sun was rising as Jacob left Peniel,[d] and he was limping because of the injury to his hip. 32 (Even today the people of Israel don’t eat the tendon near the hip socket because of what happened that night when the man strained the tendon of Jacob’s hip.)

STEP 1 : CRISIS phase
- God will put us in situations beyond control
- this is to get our attention
- this is for our own good to even learn to fend for ourselves.

STEP 2 : COMMITMENT phase
- God wants to test if we're commited to stay in the situation, untill he turns it around FOR GOOD.
- " if you want your situation to turn around, you need to want it badly "
- God dont just want to get our attention, he dont solve our problems IMMEDIATELY, he'll wait to see if we REALLY mean business with him !
- dont even GIVE UP if youre in this situation.

REMEMBER : the present mess we're in wasn't developed overnight. it took months and even years ! so when God removes then, he has to do it, LAYER by LAYER. so, it takes awhile for God's change to fully complete.

STEP 3 : CONFESSION phase
- refer to the story : when asked his name , Jacob admitted it and replied " Jacob " which lterally means : CHEATER , SCHEMER.
- he admitted his faults honestly.
- God's work will not take place UNTILL we admit and take responsibility !

STEP 4 : CO-OPERATION phase
- God wants to speak to us, MORE than we want to listen.
-> when we do things God's way, we'll get God's kind of results ! BUT when we do it man's way... youve guessed it right ! we'll get man's results. ITS LOGICAL ! :D

and look back to the story, what did God do when Jacob comfessed?
he told him that he'll no longer be known as Jacob, BUT will from then on be called Israel. and it means : Prince of God.

and guess what, God solved his problems, and even his bad habit of running away when trouble comes ! he injured his hips, and the thigh muuscles were there ( thigh muscles are the most powerful muscles ) NOW that he's limped, he couldn't run anymore !

and lastly, its missions FUND RAISING TOMORROW !! very excited yeah ! the target : $40 000 . to provide for people financially in need ! therefore , PEOPLE ! we've got to do our part !!! and God will do then rest ! in the mission field ! LET HIS MIRACLES UNFOLD !

psst : dont ask why i finish blogging till so late. i re-typed this twice, there was a problem just now and i didn't manage to save it. SO, thank God that you've got such a committed person like me ! ahahah xD okie joking. but go ahead if you're touched at what i did :D
