okie my phone is starting to get cranky again...
i set the alarm at 5pm last night, but i dotn know why my phone just shut down on its own. and in the end i woke up at 6am, all thanks to dad, and stef caling my house. that i was finally able to wake up. though i was late for lester's dad's car, but luckily dad offered to give me a ride :D and i wasn't late in the end, still managed to reach church at 630am :)

okie the walk was quite interesting, lots of people, both young and old. yeah and along the walk we chatted with the senior citizens, it was quite interesting, people sharing their life stories and christian walks. amazing and enriching experience :) it was worth my saturday morning's sleep !

after that headed back to church for discipleship ! HAD A LONG LONG LONG DAY TODAY. very tired. okie and so i'll share today's discipleship, followed by today's sermons.

Discipleship : I choose to give as God gives !
luke 6:38 - Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured onto your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

when we give :
- we affirm God's lordship and ownership over our lives. recognising that all we have belongs to Jesus in action, and not just words.
- we exercise faith in God. we trust that he is faithful to his promises and he is a generous Father who looks after our needs
- we will in return receive God's blessings, not necessarily financially, but also in other areas in our lives.

God will not let us outgive him !!!

All we have belongs to God, yet, he wants us to set aside a portion to be dedicated to him. and by tithing ( giving 10% of our alowance, income ), we are recognising this fact, and affirming that everything we have comes from God.

Giving back to God is not because God is greedy and wanting to have our money, however he wants us to recognise his rights. God wants to bless us with the money we give back to him. So, we SHOULD NOT rob him of this opportunity to bless us.

God dont need our money, we give because we NEED to. it is the cure of greed, because when we give generously to God, we are going against the worldly mentality of materialism & greed. By giving joyfully and liberally, we're freeing ourselves from these traps !

INVEST ON ETERNITY !

Matthew 19:21 - Jesus answered : " If you want to be perfect, go, sell all your possesions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. then come follow me. "

^ it is when we are able to fully let go of our greed and materialism, that we'll be able to lead a perfect Christ-Likedness lifestyle !

How to Please God

2 ways to please God :
- Have faith in jesus Christ
- To please God with all our heart

2 corinthians 5:21 - God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become righteousness of God.
^ loving Christ with all our heart

Our faith, WILL, MUST, SHOULD grow. so that we will move even closer to God.
we WANT to please God with all our heart.

Things that stop us from pleasing God :
1) fear : fear comes from believing a lie.
- the devil will constantly put lies into our minds and we shouldn't believe in them.

* 1 Corinthians 1:27-28 - But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chosethe weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things and the despised things - to nullify the things that are.

- fear comes when we make mistakes, and when we fear our parents.
- we need to believe what God said and NoT what we feel.

2) instead of pleasing God, we please man instead.
- when full of pride, we start to blame people.
- we will not want others to know our weaknesses.

- insecurity comes from excessive inward looking at ourselves
Freedom from insecurity : LOOKING TO JESUS .
Hebrews 12:2 - let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scourning its shame and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

things that are not pleasing to God ;
- dihonesty
- blaming others
- pride
- insecurity

and so, thats about today :D and lastly, i've got a great miracle i want to share ! remember about my phone becoming faulty? guess what? after the walk and when we went back to church, the phone went back to normal, and it has beem functioning normall UNITL NOW ! amazing huhs? the mp3 player couldn't even work, and the screen was distorted, and its just miraculously became well again. THANK GOD ! :D and here i am VERY VERY VERY tired, cos i only had 3hrs sleep last night ! yeah, im gonna have a VERY VERY VERY good night sleep tonight ! BYEEEEEE :) and heres the pic i promised yesterday ....



oh and lastly, IM ITCHING ALL AROUND MY BODY NOW ! due to the high exposure to NATURE today ! and it feels terrible, i doubt i can have a good night's sleep;/
